Two avid fisherman awoke in the middle of the night to set their gear up for some early morning fishing. Both were on the starboard side when they heard a loud splash from the port side. They rushed there to see a woman floating in the water. After a few unsuccessful attempts to bring her in, one of the men went to get a fishing rod and the other went to call the coastguard. They were only gone for about 20 seconds but the woman had vanished. As the two men were far from land they could not account for where the woman had come from nor where she had vanished to. -

One sailor noted how calm the sea was off the coast of Okinawa, Japan during a thunderstorm. During a few repetitive lightning strikes the man noted seeing jellyfish lighting up everywhere and stated that the water “literally looked like it glowed purple and red that night”. -

Early in the morning passengers on board a fishing charter boat started hearing a strange plopping sound around ten miles off-shore. The sound kept getting louder and louder until a deer swam by the boat, which made no sense to the passengers since the boat was so far out to sea. -

It’s never nice to witness a suicide but there’s something even creepier about it happening at sea. A man had hung himself on a boat about five miles out to sea and when sailors passed by, they noticed the man tied to the boom. -

A member of the coastguard recently assigned to a ship noted seeing an unknown blue light beneath the water’s surface. He checked the log books and noted that every few weeks there were similar sightings of lights on the horizon or underneath the water of varying colors that couldn’t be accounted for. -

During a series of large waves, a sailor witnessed an incredible sight. As a wave rose above him, he could see the sun in the background piercing through the wave revealing a large whale inside. -

During World War II a sailor who was on a mine sweeper vessel and saw a German pilot frantically waving for rescue from a downed aircraft. The vessel was under strict orders not to stop in case of attack by enemy submarines and as such, they left the man for dead. -

After sinking enemy ships in the Pacific during WWII, one submarine would surface to confirm the sinking of ships and the men from said ship would swim over and cling onto the sub. After the submarine submerged again, the crew could hear the men outside still frantically clinging to and banging on the outside of the sub before drowning. -

A crew that was shark fishing off the back of a smaller tanker ship was unnerved when they discovered a large steel alloy fishing hook had been completely bent straight and the bait missing. They were shocked that anything in the water would have the power to do that to such a strong hook. -
10.
A junior radar officer noted seeing a blip running at around 2,000 mph in the early 90s. Although there were crafts that could hit that speed, it was the turning of the aircraft that spooked the officer. He didn’t know of any military aircraft that could possibly do that – the man was convinced he had seen a UFO.
